Owned and operated by Westernport local fisherman Wayne Moncrieff, who is well known for his excellence in whiting fishing. Wayne offers hands on tuition to best improve your catch rate. Any questions you have about fishing, bays or weather, Wayne will be happy to answer. Anchors Away is all about enjoying fishing. We operate morning, afternoon and night trips ranging from 5–8 hours. We fish for Snapper, King George Whiting, Squid and Gummy Shark.

Anchors Away Charters caters for individuals, corporate and group bookings. We also do Bucks/Hens trips. For the kids, we have birthday packages ranging from 2 to 5 hour trips – drop them off and Wayne the skipper and staff will show them how to fish and have fun.

Each charter is able to accommodate up to 10 passengers. Anchors Away Charters provides all the fishing gear, bait and tackle you need for your fishing adventure. You just need to make sure to bring your fishing licence with you, as it is required at all times on any fishing charter. Anchors Away Charters boat is a 27.5 ft walk around long aluminium vessel powered by two 100 4 stroke Yamaha engines.
